Glen McCarthy is the president of Labworks International Inc. Glen has a diploma in mechanical engineering from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute and a professional engineering license earned through completion of a rigorous outline of supplementary courses while employed by Honeywell, managing a portfolio and sales plan of $75 million annually.
Glen invented a unique prepackaged cooling and heating unit for standard environmental chambers in his spare time while working for Honeywell and made the bold move to leave his position and establish Labworks International in 2005. Labworks quickly grew into designing and installing high-quality clean rooms and custom environments for unique applications for the life sciences industry. Labworks' rapid growth and strong reputation is largely due to Glen's passionate pursuit of consistent perfection and driving the best possible quality and value to all clients.
Glen is also an avid cyclist and has been known to conquer some of the toughest mountain climbs on the Tour de France circuit. He is constantly seeking other professional cycling mountains throughout Europe. Glen is also involved in several fundraising events where he utilizes his cycling skills and expansive business contacts to raise money for hospitals and special charities. Glen certainly believes in giving back to the community in which he lives and the industries where he works.
Jeff Mumford is Vice President and General Manager at Labworks International Inc. He is a licensed Professional Engineer, graduating from Carleton University's engineering program with a specialization in HVAC and Controls. He also holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Prior to joining Labworks, Jeff was the Canadian Vice President for a Fortune 100 technology company.
Jeff is an active member in several industry associations including the International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineers (ISPE), the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), and the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE). Through these organizations Jeff has contributed presentations, webinars and white-papers on the design, installation and operation of specialty environments.
At Labworks, Jeff is working on enhancing our solutions through the application of technology, energy efficiency, and user-group feedback. When not at work Jeff is a community volunteer with the local minor hockey association and in schools.
